The structure of the piston rod

Oct 18, 2023

1. Rod body: The main part of the stainless steel hollow piston rods, usually made of high-strength alloy steel, has sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the working load of the engine. The rod body is usually cylindrical, with both ends connected to the piston and crankshaft respectively.

2. Piston pin: The component that connects the piston and the piston rod. It is usually a cylindrical pin that is fixed on the piston and piston rod through the pin hole. The piston pin allows the piston to reciprocate on the piston rod and can withstand the working load of the piston.

3. Piston pin bushing: A component installed between the piston pin hole and the piston pin. It is usually made of copper alloy and has good lubrication properties to reduce the friction between the piston and the piston pin.

4. Piston pin bearing: A component installed on the small head of the connecting rod of the crankshaft and used to connect the piston rod and the crankshaft. The pin bearing bush is usually made of copper alloy, which has good wear resistance and lubrication properties to reduce the friction between the piston rod and the crankshaft.
