Precision piston rod is a connecting component that is widely used in most mechanical products. However, due to the harsh environment of some mechanical applications, there are also relatively high requirements for product surface properties.
Methods to increase the corrosion resistance of the product surface:
1. Rolling processing
Through rolling forming, a layer of cold work hardening layer is formed on the rolling surface, which reduces the elastic and plastic deformation of the contact surface of the grinding pair, and can delay the generation or expansion of fatigue cracks, thereby increasing the surface corrosion resistance.
2. Chrome plating
After chrome plating, it can have a hard, smooth, corrosion-resistant surface. After chrome plating, the coating hardness of the precision piston rod can reach HV1100, and the coating is smooth and uniform in thickness.
Strong scattering ability.
3. Conditioning
After quenching and tempering treatment, the working strength of the material can be increased, which is conducive to the sealing of tiny cracks on the surface, hinders the expansion of erosion, thereby increasing the surface corrosion resistance. However, not all of them need to be tempered, so the treatment of tempering should be judged according to the actual situation and materials.
The better the corrosion resistance of the surface of the precision piston rod, the easier it is to make it less susceptible to corrosion, which can increase the service life.
