Reason for overheating of stainless steel piston rod
Sep 17, 2023
The stainless steel piston rod is a moving part with high technical requirements and high frequency of movement currently used to support the work of the piston. However, during the use of the piston rod, due to certain reasons, the piston rod may overheat during operation. Overheating will not only accelerate the wear between the friction pairs, but also the continuous accumulation of superheat will lead to burning of the friction surface and burning, causing major machine accidents.
Common causes of overheating of stainless steel piston rods:
1. The surface of the piston rod is too rough. The air and oil in the filler are mixed with impurities. The matching gap between the piston rod and the packing is too small.
2. Deflection occurs when the piston rod and packing are assembled. Reassemble the piston rod without deflection.
3. The lubricating oil between the piston rod and the packing is dirty, or the lubricating oil is insufficient, causing dry friction.
